Heather Kelley has taught Music and Theatre in Texas public schools for 22 years. She has taught at Arts for All since the inception of the program. She also has over 10 years of experience as the Drama instructor at Alamo Heights UMC's Summer Sounds.
Ms. Kelley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Summa Cum Laude) and a Master’s degree in Teaching (with distinction), both from the University of the Incarnate Word. She also studied Theatre there and at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, CA.
Ms. Kelley was a full-time company member at the Magik Theatre from 1999 to 2003. In addition to her performances onstage, she taught in the Magik Theatre Academy and Summer Camps. She has performed in numerous theatrical productions at the San Pedro Playhouse and with The Company Theatre. In 2007, she received a Globe Award from the Alamo Theatre Arts Council for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical. In 2023, she was nominated for the same award for Lead Actress in a Comedy.
Additionally, Ms. Kelley has served as a cantor and choir director at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (2001-2020.) She is certified in Orff Schulwerk Level I. She teaches class piano, movement, and Orff classes for young children at Music Masters in San Antonio.
