Shawn is the Children’s Ministry Associate Director at Alamo Heights UMC. She joined the AHUMC staff after relocating to the San Antonio area from middle Tennessee.  With bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of Tennessee, she has spent over fifteen years as a public-school educator, teaching grades K-3 as well as serving as a middle school instructional coach.  Her favorite memories of fellowship and worship with the United Methodist Church include leading children's choirs, Vacation Bible School, mission trips with youth choir and now leading AHUMC Kids in children's worship on Sunday mornings!  She and her husband, Craig, have four children.  Shawn loves bargain hunting, the beach, and ALL things Disney.
