Sue doesn’t just tell stories—she whisks family and adult audiences away on unforgettable journeys through multicultural folktales, fairy tales, urban legends, and personal stories from around the world. Blending spoken word with music, puppetry, and even string figures, she creates an interactive experience that invites listeners to lean in, laugh, wonder, and become part of the story.
Her infectious passion for storytelling grew over 32 years as an elementary teacher and librarian in San Antonio, where stories were powerful tools for connection, inspiration, and empowerment. A featured regional teller at the Texas Storytelling Festival, Sue has captivated audiences of all ages in schools, libraries, festivals, and conferences across Texas, including Grand Kids Fest in Galveston, the Tejas Storytelling Conference, and the Texas Storytelling Festival.
Sue delights in collaborating with educators and librarians to design custom performances and workshops—whether for summer reading programs or curriculum-based learning. As a sought-after presenter, she helps schools and libraries weave storytelling into their programs, sparking creativity and empowering participants to find and share their own voices. She is excited to be working with the "Arts for All" After School Program at AHUMC, teaching kids the art of storytelling through engaging activities. She is the proud recipient of TSA’s John Henry Faulk Award (2023) and the Colson-Herndon Storytelling in Education Award (2016).
